A promotional headshot is a professional photograph typically used to represent you in a business or marketing context. It focuses on capturing a clear, flattering image of you, often from the shoulders up, with a simple background. These headshots are commonly used for purposes such as websites, social media profiles, business cards, CV's, press releases, or promotional materials. The goal is to create a polished and approachable image that aligns with your personal or professional brand, helping you stand out in a professional setting or to attract potential clients or employers.

Get a good night’s sleep, stay hydrated, and choose outfits that reflect your profession and personality. It’s also a good idea to consider grooming, such as hair and makeup, to ensure you look polished and confident. I do retouch your chosen images afterwards, but nothing can really replace the inner confidence you get from knowing you look your best. 

Wear solid colours that complement your skin tone and avoid busy patterns or logos as they can be distracting and date quickly. What to wear depends largely on how you want to be perceived. Formal smart business attire may still be the most appropriate in some cases,  whereas smart casual may be better in others. If in doubt just ask, or bring a few options on the day and we can decide what would work best for you.

Individual sessions are based on 1 or 2 hours of studio time. 1 hour is usually plenty of time to capture a wide range of shots, but if you require more complex lighting setups and a range of different looks, a 2 hour session would probably be better suited.

Turnaround time is usually 1-2 working days for proofs which are sent to you in a private online gallery. Once you select your final images, retouching and delivery typically take an additional 1-2 working days, depending on the number or images required. 

However, if you need images urgently I do have a priority editing option where I send you the retouched versions within 24 hours. 

Yes, I professionally retouch all final images to make sure everyone looks their absolute best whilst still looking natural. My retouching includes blemish removal, skin smoothing, flyaway hair removal, and colour / exposure correction. If you would like your images retouched more or less than that, just let me know. 

I offer both in-studio and on-location shoots, but the latter is only available for 2 hour bookings. If you have a specific requirement, just call or send me a message and I’ll always try to help.

I can provide multiple styles and backgrounds within a single session. Simply let me know in advance, and I’ll plan the shoot to capture a variety of styles.

Prices start at just £45 for a 1 hour studio session. This is paid as a deposit at the time of booking and then deducted from the cost of any images that you decide to purchase after the shoot.

A 2 hour session requires the same £45 deposit, plus an additional £95 for the extra studio time. £45 is then deducted from the cost of any images that you decide to buy.
